Teen Center Overflows with Activities

The Teen Center is in the process of forming a collectively operated
bicycle workshop, run by teens for teens. All skill levels welcome- learn to repair, restore, tear down and rebuild bikes. Anyone who has broken bikes, bike parts, or tools can contact Meade at 391-6958. Over the vacation six very lucky puppies- Zoe, Chris, Sarah, Jazz, Nathan and Samantha went on an overnight to SF with chaperones Meade Williams, Ed Nieves and Julie Drucker. They attended a play put on by SF Teens that included a backstage visit. They went to a live music venue in the evening. The following day they visited Chinatown, and a museum. Quite the whirlwind urban adventure. A waterfall day hike and picnic to Russian Gulch is scheduled for the 16th. The annual Ski trip will be Feb. 12-15.

Drawing Conclusions

Although the first session was cancelled due to last minute difficulties the monthly drawing studio for anyone from Junior High age through Senior Citizen will be happening the first Tuesday of each month. Bring your own drawing materials if you have them, we will provide materials for those who don’t have their own. Each session will have a still life to draw for those who prefer. For those who like life drawing we will draw each other (clothes on!). This is a teacherless class but those who are more experienced will help those with less. A great chance to try out drawing if you’ve never drawn. A good place to polish your skills if you’ve drawn before. No fee, drop-in basis, casual come as you are, no worries.  Place: Room 9 at the High School 5:30-7:30 P.M. call 895-2146 for more information.

installed to help provide school related updates to the community. The three keys to the cases were missing for some time but have been found. Look at Lemon’s Market, the Yorkville Post Office or the Navarro Store for your local case and the ever-changing information that will be displayed.
