Gerald F. Cox LCSW- Billingual Family Counselor
Mr. Cox provides community services to Junior High and High School students who referenced by teachers and administrators. These services can also include students families. He also provides motivational speakers to the AVID class.

Ms. Ryder acts as a link betwen the school district and the community primarily by writing the "School News". She collects information from many sources to make "School News" multifaceted. Terry also provides a translated Spanish and English version to KZYX for their news program Alma Latina. Estela Espinoza translates the "School News". To acces the "School News" archive click here.

Jan Pallazola - College Prep / My Voice, My Life
Mrs. Pallozola helps with everything to do with going to college - financial aid applications, college application, housing applications, scholarship applications, and the many small problems that arise with these things. She works with Ms. Taylor anf Mr. Hagg to help kids sign up for the necessary tests and meet deadlines, choose colleges, visit colleges, and all the necessary preparations for colllege. Mrs. Pallozola has also trained a group of juniors and seniors in a pregnancy prevention curriculum called My Voice, My Life. They are now using this curriculum in the eighth grade classrom.
Mr. Hagg helps direct students with their academics. He also assists students with personal question. All in all Ron trys to assist students, families, and staff in any way he can. He is at the High School five days a week.
Terry Ryder - AVUSD Community Liaison
Ms. Danner's job consists of providing individual counseling to students and consultation with teachers and staff. She participates in IEP and SST meetings and does all the testing for special education. Her time is spent between the Elementary and High School on Wednessdays and Thursdays.

Mrs. Schenck provides coordination for prevention programs throughout the school district. Her many projects includ alcohol, tobacco and other drugs (ATOD) prevention education, teen teacher program, and GRIP ( Gang Resistance is Paramount ).She also promotes fun, healthy, alternative activities through the AV Teen Center (see web page for more information).
