Service Learning Team

The Service Learning Team (SLT) is an extracurricular group of high school and junior high students, supervised by Noor Dawood and Maggie Von Vogt. The team has been active since 2014. In that time we have tackled various projects aimed towards benefitting the school and community. Such projects include raising awareness about nutrition and health, as well as reopening Paul Dimmick State Campground. 

Currently we are focusing on two potential projects. The first is to have a community or school pool constructed. The second is to incorporate into ASP a sports and activities program. If you are aware of any projects that would benefit the school or community, please feel welcome to contact the group through email, or attend a meeting. We meet every Thursday from 9 to just before 10 A.M. The group’s email is Servicelearningteam@avpanthers.org. SLT is an opportunity to feel accomplishment and pride for your school, make your voice heard by the community, and have fun!
