Winter Camp at AVES Students attending the four-day session enjoyed winter-themed academics, gingerbread making, soccer camp, science and math activities, and much more! The free camps offered additional after care at no charge to the families.
Preschool Makes Sweet Tamales Students created a special dinner of sweet tamales and hot chocolate to celebrate with their families during a magical holiday evening event of crafts and love! More than 20 families attended with their little ones! Thank you teachers Anita and Lupita!
ELEMENTARY FAMILY ART NIGHT A SUCCESS! Almost 100 people enjoyed a tasty tamale dinner and an art lesson led by Cathleen Micheaels for a festive evening of Dia de los Muertos paper marigold and heart garlands! A great evening was enjoyed by all! Next event this Spring.
$4.7 million dollar TRACK AND FIELD CLEAN CALIFORNIA GRANT AWARDED BY CALTRANS! AVUSD RECEIVED A $4.7 million dollar track and field grant for an all weather track and soccer and football field for the school and community!

FFA Leadership Conference FFA Leader Beth Swehla and the FFA Officers attended a fantastic 2 day Chapter Officer Leadership Conference at SRJC's Shone Farm. It was put on by the North Coast Regional Officers and the CA State FFA Officers. AV officers along with about 300 other chapter officers in the region participated in a variety of workshops. They came away stronger as a team with new ideas and excitement. They saw old friends and made lots of new friends. They also explored the Shone Farm seeing all the possibilities there.
