Welcome Back, AVES Students and Families!

Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year at Anderson Valley Elementary School. I am honored to serve as principal and excited to partner with our students, families, staff, and community.

At AVES, we believe it takes a village to educate children. Parent partnership, family involvement, and community support are essential to student success.

Regular attendance is one of the most important ways families can support learning. If you help get your child to school on time, every day, we will do our part to provide strong instruction, a safe and caring environment, and preparation for the future.

This year, we will focus on academic language, active student engagement, consistent expectations, and helping students solve problems respectfully. Our schoolwide expectations are: Be Safe, Be Respectful, Be Responsible.

¡Bienvenidos de nuevo, estudiantes y familias de AVES!

Bienvenidos al año escolar 2026–2027 en la Escuela Primaria Anderson Valley. Es un honor servir como director y me entusiasma trabajar en colaboración con nuestros estudiantes, familias, personal y comunidad.

En AVES, creemos que se necesita el esfuerzo de toda una comunidad para educar a nuestros niños. La colaboración de los padres, la participación de las familias y el apoyo de la comunidad son fundamentales para el éxito de nuestros estudiantes.

La asistencia regular es una de las maneras más importantes en que las familias pueden apoyar el aprendizaje. Si usted ayuda a que su hijo(a) llegue a la escuela puntualmente todos los días, nosotros haremos nuestra parte brindando una enseñanza de alta calidad, un ambiente seguro y acogedor, y la preparación necesaria para el futuro.

Este año nos enfocaremos en el desarrollo del lenguaje académico, la participación activa de los estudiantes, expectativas consistentes y en ayudar a los estudiantes a resolver los problemas con respeto. Nuestras expectativas escolares son: Sea Seguro, Sea Respetuoso y Sea Responsable.

Back-to-School Night
Tuesday, August 25, 2026
5:00–6:00 p.m.

Back-to-School Night is an opportunity for families to meet their child’s teacher, visit the classroom, and learn about classroom programs, routines, expectations, and ways to support learning at home. Please attend.

School Communication

Families should check ParentSquare regularly for school announcements, reminders, classroom updates, and important messages.

Please make sure your contact information is current in Aeries so you receive school communication by phone, email, text, or app notification.

Attendance

Regular attendance matters. Students learn best when they are at school on time, every day.

Please schedule appointments and trips outside of school hours whenever possible. If your child is absent, please contact the school office.
